PLANTING INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1 – Plant immediately being careful of thorns by using gloves. Carefully discard any unattached pieces of old leaves or stems using pruning shears.
Step 2 – Unwrap plastic from around rose the day before planting. Soak in whole plant in bucket of water overnight prior to planting. Never allow roots to dry out at any time prior to planting.
Step 3 – Pick a full sun or partial sun location where plant can be spaced at least 2 to 3 feet away form other plants. Dig a hole two times the width of root ball and deep enough to accommodate all roots plus 3 to 4 inches more. You may prune roots where needed to help them fit into hole.
Step 4 –If soil is clayish amend with good garden soil from nursery. Pack in soil firmly around roots making sure the base or crown is 3 to 4 inches below soil line. Water them in well thoroughly.
Step 5 – Continue watering deeply at least once a week all summer.
