Step 1
Unpack your plants immediately removing any packing material. Cut away any yellow or brown leaves or broken stems that may have occurred. This grooming is completely normal. Water with distilled or rain water allowing water inside the pitchers.
Step 2
Transplant into shallow 6 inch containers separately or together in even a larger yet still shallow container. Pack soil firmly around the crown and roots deep enough so that the plants stand upright. Water again with distilled or rain water allowing water inside the pitchers. Keep moist year round by using a tray underneath pots to catch water.
Step 3
These plants do not want to be fertilized ever. Please do not use.
Step 4
You may leave plants indoors year round. Otherwise, place outside as long as evening temperatures stay above 45 degrees Fahrenheit. Dappled shade or bright light is required. A north window or exposure is ideal
Step 5
These plants do not flower in the real sense of the term. Their bright attractive flower-like foliage and nectar inside attract their food.
