Step 1
Unpack your plants immediately removing any packing material. Water immediately. Cut away any yellow or brown leaves or broken stems that may have occurred. This grooming is completely normal and will take place as the plant grows. New leaves and stems appear as the old ones are cut away.
Step 2
Plant in garden immediately after the night temperatures stay above 40 degrees spacing about 15-20 inches. Dig holes twice the width of the root ball and about 5-6 inches deep. Place them in their holes and pack soil firmly around root ball. Partial sun or light shade is best.
Step 3 - Water them thoroughly. Keep moist.
Step 4 – Planted now each root will produce flowers in late summer through late autumn and every year thereafter.
Step 5 – They are hardy in the winter to a minus 30 degrees below 0!
