Step 1 Unpack materials from kit. Place ½ of the clay media into planter basket. Remove water lily tuber from plastic bag shaking off excess packing material. The water lily tuber should be placed on its side at a slight angle with sprouts facing upward inside basket. Cover with remaining clay being careful not to damage existing growth.
Step 2 Poke one fertilizer tablet into the clay on two opposite sides of the basket about one inch deep. Empty and spread out contents of gravel on top of the clay media; leaving the new sprouts exposed. This will help contain the clay media & water lily in your pond.
Step 3 Place plant care-tag into container for future reference. Thoroughly water your newly planted water lily then carefully submerge basket into water to a depth of 16-24 inches deep spaced about 12-24 inches apart. Do not use any sanitizing chemicals in the water.
Step 4 - Green moss will often form on top of water at the beginning. Once water lily leaves form moss naturally goes way.
