Step 1: Unpack your plants immediately removing any packing material.
These clumps have roots radiating from a central point called the
crown. Plant the clumps with the roots facing downward.
Step 2: Plant into shallow 4-6 inch containers separately or together in a
larger shallow 10 inch container. Pack soil firmly around the crown
and roots deep enough so that the plants stand upright but not
covering more than 1/3 of the entire start leaving the unique shape
of the body exposed.
Step 3: Do not re-pot for 3-5 years. They grow better when root-bound and
crowded.
Step 4: Water the plants thoroughly letting the excess water drain through
the bottom of the pot(s). Keep moist repeating a couple times a
week all year. They prefer partial sun or ? day of direct sun.
Step 5: You may leave plants indoors year round. Otherwise, place outside
as long as evening temperatures stay above 45 degrees Fahrenheit.
