Step 1: Unpack your plants immediately removing any packing material.
Cut away any yellow or brown leaves or broken stems that may
have occurred. This grooming is completely normal and will take
place as the plant grows. New leaves and stems appear as the old
ones are cut away.

Step 2: Plant into 6-8 inch containers separately or together in a larger shallow
10 inch container. These clumps have roots radiating from a
central point called a crown. Pack soil firmly around the crown and
roots deep enough so that the plants stand upright.

Step 3: Do not re-pot for 3-5 years. They bloom better when root-bound
and crowded.

Step 4: Water the plants thoroughly letting the excess water drain through
the bottom of the pot(s). Be sure to keep excess water out of any
saucer underneath pot. Repeat watering every 2 weeks from April
through October. From November through March only water every
2 months!

Step 5: You may leave plants indoors year round. Otherwise, place outside
as long as evening temperatures stay above 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
Shade or dappled shade is required. A north window or exposure is
ideal.
