Step 1: Unpack your plants immediately removing any packing material.
Water immediately. Cut away any yellow or brown leaves or broken
stems that may have occurred. This grooming is completely normal
and will take place as the plant grows. New leaves and stems
appear as the old ones are cut away.

Step 2: Plant in garden immediately after the night temperatures stay
above 35 degrees spacing about 18-24 inches. Dig holes twice the
width of the root ball and about 5-6 inches deep. Place them in
their holes. Cover with an inch or two of soil and pack soil firmly
around root ball. Partial sun or 1/2 day sun is best.

Step 3: Water them thoroughly. Once they sprout water again.

Step 4: Planted now each root will produce impressive flowers in midspring
through mid-summer and every year thereafter.

Step 5: They are hardy in the winter to a minus 40 degrees below 0!
