Step 1: Unpack your plants immediately removing any packing material.
Water immediately. Cut away any yellow or brown leaves or broken
stems that may have occurred. This grooming is completely normal
and will take place as the plant grows. New leaves and stems
appear as the old ones are cut away.
Step 2: Plant in garden immediately after the night temperatures stay
above 35 degrees spacing about 12-15 inches. Dig holes twice the
width of the root ball and about 5-6 inches deep. Place them in
their holes. Cover with an inch or two of soil and pack soil firmly
around root ball. Full sun is best.
Step 3: Water them thoroughly. Once they sprout water again. They do
well in hot, dry spots where nothing else grows.
Step 4: Planted now each plant will produce impressive flowers in early
summer through autumn and every year thereafter.
Step 5: They are hardy in the winter to a minus 30 degrees below 0!
